MeetAI respects your privacy. This extension does not collect, store, or share personal data from users.
MeetAI does not collect or transmit personally identifiable information (PII), browsing history, or meeting content for storage. When enabled by the user, the extension reads live caption text within the supported meeting tab (e.g., meet.google.com) to provide AI-assisted summaries.
Caption text is used temporarily to generate summaries and action items. If AI processing is enabled, this text may be sent securely over HTTPS to the developer’s backend solely for real-time analysis. No raw audio is captured by the extension. No data is persisted for advertising, analytics, or resale.
host_permissions (*://meet.google.com/*) – to read live captions on the meeting page.tabs – to detect when a supported meeting tab is active.storage – to save local preferences (e.g., language and summary options) on the user’s device.These permissions are used solely to deliver the AI summarization feature.
MeetAI does not sell, rent, or share information with advertisers or third-party analytics providers. Communication with the backend service is limited to real-time processing and is encrypted (HTTPS).
All data-in-transit between your browser and the MeetAI backend uses TLS/HTTPS. The extension does not inject third‑party tracking scripts.
MeetAI is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
